Alert-Tester

RF Signal Analyzer

  • Alert-Tester ensures that WirelessAlert RF (radio) installations are as reliable and trustworthy as any hard-wired system.
  • Although Alert-Tester is not strictly an ‘end user’ product it is important to know that, whenever we quote and install our products, we use this unique-to-WirelessAlert tool to guarantee that there are no surprises later on.
  • The Alert-Tester is used to analyse every site and then verify the integrity of the (invisible) WirelessAlert radio network at key locations where our sensors and receivers will be located. Alert-Tester is also used to establish optimum locations for RelayAlert RT signal repeaters and to establish the correct version and setup of high-gain antennas that may be used.
  • Specifically, the hand-held Alert-Tester is used to:
  • Accurately map out a site – so we know precisely where the radio transmissions from sensors might be reduced (and where WirelessAlert RT repeaters need to be installed to guarantee optimum performance).
  • Much like printed ‘sell by date’ labels on food, Alert-Tester is designed to be extremely ‘conservative’ in its reporting; so that the ‘threshold’ feedback a user sees (that indicates a weakening signal), actually has significant fail-safe provision.
  • Develop our quotes, so that they don’t have surprise costs later on.
  • Establish any breakdown in the signal strength and quality in the unlikely event that a fault in the system is later detected, or storm weather and normal environmental changes (such as foliage) will negatively alter the unseen radio ‘map’.

Caution

  • If competing wireless security systems aren’t using similar RF analyzing equipment to confirm your security infrastructure; you are seriously at risk.
